Chuppah made of Yellow Birch

This piece was made as a wedding gift for one of my best friends.  Isaac and his wife loved and even met in the outdoors, and though their ceremony had to take place inside I wanted to give them a tastful omage to the place they met.  The yellow birch from which this was built has the quality of growing from an older, fallen tree.  Therefore the roots grow down into the ground.  These trees were cut at ground level, preserving the roots as the structure that made each of the 4 posts stand up.
